Deb Russell, a native of Mount Gilead, North Carolina now lives on the Montgomery County side of Lake Tillery and enjoys the peaceful, quiet beauty of the Pee Dee River corridor and the Uwharrie Mountains. In fact, her photographic specialty has become shooting landscapes of Lake Tillery and The Uwharries.

"I'm delighted to begin photographing the expansive, gorgeous land in southern Stanly County now known as The Fork. I share Jim and Bernadette's view of conservation and seeing land managed in ways that are environmentally sound. Expansive and beautiful, the balance of nature is apparent while walking the vast pastures and wooded trails, as plants, birds, and critters of all description thrive. There's also a balance of the people who work there. From equestrian to maintenance to administrative, I'm always greeted with a smile, and there's a geniune warmth extended...a southern hospitality, of course...making a visitor feel welcome.
